Chile Week of Rivers – For All Skills
This trip was originally designed for the Pikes Peak Whitewater Club (PPWC). The PPWC had a diverse group of six with a couple of class II to III kayakers working on combat rolls, four boaters looking to up their game with more solid rolls, and one hucker seeking to run beautiful waterfalls. The question came, “Can we all paddle on the same trip?” The beauty of our riverside Pucon base is the proximity to world class whitewater for every skill level. The answer was a confident yes, and the idea trip for clubs and groups with diverse skills was born in Chile.
For Beginner Kayakers. Begin with the rolls and rivers clinics. Gain confidence mastering your roll daily followed by a river run. As you progress so will the river challenges. All under the instruction and safety care of experienced instructors.
For Intermediate Kayakers. You will want to explore our Chile Intermediate Rivers pages to get an idea of some of the runs where you’ll develop skills. The Pucon area rivers are remarkable for development features such as high speed ferries, piercing eddies, lapping challenging rapids, vistas, development waves for surfing, and boofing. Heck, you might even run a waterfall by the end of your week.
For Advanced Kayakers. Experienced boaters are even more excited than the less experienced because they’ve typically heard more about Chile’s advanced river canyons, runs, and waterfalls. It’s all you can eat, but don’t worry… we’ll keep you on the sections proper for your skills. Don’t be surprised if the instruction takes your game up a couple of notches.
